Bottleshare at Lancaster Gate. Thanks to Colin. Almost opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is softish and semi dry. Reasonable fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, a little chocolate cake. Trace of something oxidised tasting. Mild spice. Molasses. Piney spice. A slightly odd cda, getting on a bit maybe.

Bottle thanks to Cloin. It pours near black with a thick tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, chocolate cake, sugary Euro candy, earth, toffee and treacle. The taste is bitter - sweet, boosty, burnt action, pine needles, chocolate, ashy and chewy malt with a drying roasted finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. A chewy. Fair.
