150 Jahre Weiherer Bier - das muss gefeiert werden! Und zwar mit dem eigens für diesen Anlass eingebrauten Weiherer Festbier. Es ist ein kräftiges, gold leuchtendes, glanzfeines Bier mit fränkischem Malz, vollmundig im Geschmack und mit Spalter Select gehopft. Und: bereits im Jubiläumsjahr wurde es bei den World Beer Awards mit Bronze ausgezeichnet!

On tap at Weiherer.a bit sweeter beer. Good hops on the finish. Good bitterness white pepper and black pepper. Good beer but slightly sweeter and fuller than the kraken I had before. Decent.

0.5l bottle. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of bready malts, earthy grains, biscuit. Taste of bready malts, honeyed sweetness, grains, biscuity, earthy, grassy/spicy hop, light bitterness but it lingers and grows. Light bodied.

Bottle picked up at Fristo, Freising IIRC, and consumed at Jude and Baz's, Spond, nr Kington, Herefordshire Friday 17th October 2025. Pours gold, good clarity, white head, however carbonation lacking a little. Sweet honey and malt on the nose, silky mouthfeel, bitterness is very subtle, taste is a tad one dimensional and as already mentioned carbonation lacking otherwise it's another decent beer from Weiherer.

Dorada tirando a amarilla, espuma blanca y cremosa de retención media. Aroma escaso, grano cereal, En boca mantiene, con tono general malteado y ligeramente cítrico y algo dulce. Amargor moderado y bien de gas para acabar con un tono más seco.

500ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish, golden colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally husky, grainy and strawy, pale malty aroma, that's it. - Well, almost: fruity hoppy overtones of white grapes appear quite delayed. Taste is slightly grainy and strawy, pale malty with low residual sweetness, mildly bitter, minimally fruity hoppy counterpart with a touch of white grapes, grape sugar.
Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium to fine, dense, prickly carbonation.
Clean, a bit monotonous - meh! And quite disappointing for an Anniversary brew from a definitely recognised brewery.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep golden, nice head. Starts fine malty-spicy, mild bitter notes. Light grasy hints. Shy bitterness. Finish well balanced, again fine spicy-malty. Nice!
