Can from Gorillas on 11th September 2021. Pours hazy copper with loose off-white foam and scant lacing. Spicy malts and citrus zests in aroma. Rich malt and candied peel in-mouth. Sweetly citrusy finish, with rear-mouth bitterness. Zingy mouthfeel and a fair amount of body.

Can from Village Vintners, Pyrford. Now 5.6%. Resinous aroma with marmalade stone fruit edge. Amber. A tad hazy. Thick fluffy white head. Medium-heavy bitter. Quinine to the fore over tangy marmalade sweet and sour. Some spice. Medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Dry astringent finish..Not doing it for me. To quinine and the sournes is 'off'.

Keg tap at the Victoria, Peckham. Light to mid-gold, clear with a bit of white head. Abundant visible carbonation and lacing. Pine, sticky resin, sweet malt and honey on the nose. Sweet taste at first, which is overcome by a medicinal citrus bitterness. Heavy carbonation, watery body. It's kind of a pale ale by numbers but still enjoyable despite the lack of individuality.
