330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, golden colour with absurdely huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy hoppy, fruity aroma, grapefruit notes, hints of orange zest, grassy and chalky impurities, orange biscuit ground layer. Taste bitter hoppy, notes of bitter orange and orange zest, silage fodder interludes remind of their strange 1891 IPA.

Bottle at home, from Ales By Mail, 14/03/15. Light gusher - wat? Hazed orange amber decent off white covering that retains well. Nose is earthy, dusty hop, orange, sweet, light biscuit, hint of grapefruit. Taste comprises tangerine, biscuit, caramel, orange pith, melon, light bread dough. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, semi drying close with a touch of hop bitterenss. No car crash but a pretty basic model of the style when compared to other offerings from the APA Capitol!

10th March 2015
Somewaht murky dark amber beer, big pale cream colour head. Light tropical fruit nose. Palate is airy and semi dry. Light malts bring dry cream. Trace of something chalky. Modest citrus present mild bitterness. The tropical fruits from the nose are barely detectable, shame. Dry finish. A little unclean but okay.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the London Beer Lab. Pours perfectly clear gold highly effervescent, with a thick, lasting white cream head. The nose holds some lightly dried orange, simple pale bread, pine needles. Light-medium sweet flavor with mild piney bitterness, slight lemon, tangerine, bready pale malts. Light to medium bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Finishes sweet with a bit of candied fruits, golden raisins, more citrus, orange, tangerine, underlying sugary bread. A fairly tame APA that could use a more pronounced hop character, more balancing bitterness. And as this beer is definitely over-carbonated, the conditioning could probably be tweaked as well.

Bottle 330ml (AbM)
Deep orange color, small steady white head. Apricot jam, citrus, tropical fruits and resin. Medium-bodied. Active carbonation. Pineapple, citrus and tropical fruits in the flavor. Sweetish maltyness. Clean, well-brewed IPA with quite typical Cascade-Citra flavor profile.

Bottle from BOB Wines, Crystal Palace. It pours lightly hazy golden-Amber with a thick off-white head. The nose is soft, juicy, piney, peach, tangerine, orange, marmalade and toasty bread. The taste is good upfront bitter, pine needles, varnish, grapefruit rind, some hop astringency, resin, earth and light toast with a lingering bitter-dry finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Good deal of bitterness and drinks rather well. Good start from these guys.
