somehow i missed this one since i started being active on ratebeer. can. 33cl. dark brown, smooth offwhite to light brown head. very mild aroma, roasted malts and faint sweetness somewhere in there. flavor is roasted malts and caramel, a bit onesided, but compared to other danish macro classic/vienna beers, this one does taste a bit better. almost smoked notes. if you end up being tied to a tuborg tap and have to decide betw. hof, tuborg, sort guld, tuborg guld, tuborg julebryg and carls jul, carls jul is the best of them, imho.

Can split at Nillers, Hammel, DK - dark Amber pour with white head. Toasty and sweet malty aroma and taste, with notes of caramel, butterscotch, some vague spices in there, light metallic, with light watery body, not the worst macro Jul Øl i have had.

33 cl. can. Clear, brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma with lightly toasted malts, caramel, nuts and cardboard. Taste is light sweet. Medium body with a thinner texture, average carbonation. Finishes lightly bitter. Better than the ordinary Julebryg however, nothing special.
