Robed in bright vermillion and with an aroma reminiscent of fresh cherry pie, our Kriek is a Pacific Northwest ode to Belgian Lambic brewers who craft these tart, fruity and complex beers, one of our favorite Belgian styles.
Beginning with our aged, Lambic-inspired, blonde base, we added a mountain of of whole, organic, Oregon-grown, Chelan cherries to the final blend. In addition to the wonderful cherry flavor and lovely color, the fruit adds a yeast complexity by adding more microbes to the beer and kicking up another fermentation. We finished the blend with just a hint of local wildflower honey to balance the acidity and add one more level of nuance.
Barrels: French Oak barrels & foeders
Microbes: Saccharomyces, Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus

Great for kreik boys, otherwise tart and sweet, lots of cherry kicks to the stomach.

Don't think it's evolved much but it is still tasting fantastic, pours a nice light copper red hue and the nose is still sweet cherries but muted a bit.

On tap at Belmont Station Bier Cafe, pours a cloudy bright reddish pink with a small white head. Aroma brings out intense tart cherries upfront, with alcohol, and moderate funk. Flavour is very puckering, with intensely sour cherries upfront, moderate-high acidity, gentle funk, and some alcohol. It's not the most refined beer, but it's a pleasant, acidic, pucker bomb. Decent.

Kriek might be the secret best post workout beer, has what your body needs! Great sour cherry crispness and carby finish, probably healthier than an energy drink. Nose of cherry funk that is also delish
