A dark brown Baltic Liquorice Porter with a thick and lacing foam. Strong aroma of raw liquorice and liquorice root. The taste is gentle and mostly of roasted malts and liquorice. Citric hop notes balance this overall quite heavy beer. Bottom fermented.

aroma of dark caramel, also some faint salty licorice notes. flavor is licorice, mild caramel, faint malts. flavor is totally centered around licorice, but the licorice flavor is quite complex, super nice and both sweet and slightly salty, english licorice, ending is english licorice. Especially the end is really nice. The beer is slightly malty belgian brown ale'ish, the strong dark caramel in the aroma very fortunately is not to be found in the flavor.

Bottle bought at Restaurant Svaneke Bryghus, Svaneke. Pours dark cola brown with medium off-white head. Aroma is vague with hints of roasted malt, rust, molasses and bourbon whiskey. Taste is medium to very sweet, light bitter, faint acidic and light salty. Body is watery with light carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with intense notes of roasted malt, sweet liquorice, anise, molasses, toffee and hints of coffee. The liquorice taste is really nice but the porter falls too short.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours black with a dark reddish hue and a dense and creamy, beige head. Surprisingly little aroma, hardly any roast even. Medium body, smooth, plenty of sweet licorice and a hint of smoke. But very little happening to be honest - apart from licorice. 260223

Draught at KØ18. Hazy dark brown colour. Small tan head. The flavour has a distinct liquorice note. More sweet than raw, and more raw than salty.

Draught at the brewpub. Pitch black with a thin tanned head. Sweet aroma with liquorice, caramel malts, brown sugar, faint grasses. Taste is sweet. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Good for the abv. Finishes sweet with liquorice and caramel malts. Something for the sweet tooth. And the liquorice lover.
