On tap. Pours a clear mahogany with a small, foamy, short lived, beige head that laces. Mild aroma of toasted malt, caramel and nuts. Sweet flavour of toasted malt, caramel, light chocolate, nuts and mild, leafy green hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Easy drinking. Not bad.

On draft at the Grizzly Paw Brew pub it is a dark
Amber with a slight head. The aroma is coffee and the taste is a bitter coffee flavor that lingers on the palate

Bottle. Vineous berrylike roasted aroma. Dark red brown, low lace. medium light, slightly tinny body. Roast base, light herbal and spicy - lavender and berries. Quick somewhat watery finish. Nice aroma, a bit disappointing after that.

Reddish-brown, vaguely nutty aroma, light body, thin, little nutty but the thinness is overwhelming anything else.

On tap at Grizzly Paw Brewing, pours a clear amber with a small tan head. Aroma brings out spoiled vegetables. Flavour is slightly better, with notes of toasted nuts and slightly cloying caramel. Not the most refined nut brown, with too much residual sweetness. It's okay, but very flawed.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tempo. Thanks eyes_wide_shut. Clear deep red-amber-brown with a beige head. Aroma of malt, nuts, chocolate, caramel and toast. Sweetish flavor, malty, nutty, caramelly, with light fruity notes and a bit of chocolate. Medium-bodied. Decent.

Draft - Molasses, roasted malts and nutty. Amber clear with a thin persistent head. Nuttiness is there with a pleasant malty sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nutty and sweet like the menu says but not the richest ale I’ve had by a long shot. On tap at Grizzly.

Draught at the brewpub
Mahogany color. Another poor beer after the Pilsner, Red, Wheat and Amber: just some dry caramel flavor. Useless.
