Sample courtesy of Grumbo. Cheers. Aroma of roasted malts, nuts, chocolate and cocoa. Roasted nuts and chocolate with vanilla comes through on the taste. Low carbonation. A touch watery but all in all very nice.

28/8/2021. Cask at the 2021 East Anglian Beer Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit, vanilla, coffee. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Enjoyed this.

Cask: Poured a black with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate, pudding, malty. Taste is pudding, cake, rich malts, chocolate.

thick creamy beige head. Clear almost black pour. lots of chocolate. Very good

Cask-conditioned at the Pelican, Gloucester 8/2/2019. Near black with a thin, beige, head. Rich chocolate, leafy hops, some toasty malts and a warming finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at the GRAF 2017.. Dark black.. Thin tan lacing... Soft dry dusty chocolate roast malts nose... Blackcurrant chocolate roast malts nose.. Dry chocolate roast.. Light dusty finish

Cask at graf 2017. Pours deep brown, nose is cocoa, floral, blackcurrant, taste is similar, sweet.

Black beer. Smells of malt, chocolate and a bit of fruit. Taste is creamy chocolate, a bit of slightly tangy fruit, malt. Bit sickly in the aftertaste but it’s nice.
