Amber-brown, earthy nose, toasty, nutty. Sweetish and a bit nutty. Touch of earthiness- pretty straightforward brew.

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with little head. Aromas of of sugar, biscuits, lemongrass, and limes. Flavors of dried toast, candied dry fruit, and toasted malts. Dusty moderately bitter finish. Very nice.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy copper with a medium beige head. Nose is very traditional for an English bitter, with harsh hops, and bready notes. Flavour is similar, with bready notes, English hops, and cereal malt. Very dry and harsh, with a thin biting finish. Not the best, but decent.

Draught at Tap & Barrel, Coal Harbour, Vancouver
Hazy dark amber color with creamy head. The aroma is delicate, there is some caramel, some yeast and light fruity esters. Good body, round mouthfeel, chewy caramel, with a pleasant light residual sweetness; light character from the yeast; strong bitterness that offers a very light fruity impression but also some vegetable bitterness.
Very nice offer, quite bold ESB.
