Med brown, thin head. For some reason I smell piney C hop (Columbus?) first and foremost. Toast and a dash of chocolate malts show up, too. Body is a bit thin, bit this has a stack of c-hop pithy bitterness...Chinook level intensity if I were to guess. I like beers that make me guess about the hops, even though my batting average with that is poor. Chinotto. Cloying crap cereal for kids is the last thing I would think went into this beer. I suppose that’s a good thing.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Dark brown color with small head. Mild dusty aroma of cereals and bread. Dry an lean mouthfeel; roasted malt flavor with an aftertaste of stale bread; regular bitterness.
I expected more.

On tap at the Alibi Room for the 500th beer list celebration, pours a near-black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out chocolate bars, light roast, and cocoa powder. Flavour brings out notes of dry cocoa, roasted malt, and cereal. Wonderful stuff. Dry, cereal-y, and roasted. Excellent.

Poured from the tap. Black with minimal beige head. Mild coffee aroma. Roasted malt taste, a little watery. Light body.
