Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Black color with persistent beige head. Fairly dry but smooth, the roasted malt flavor is good and not ashy or burnt, and it has a strong citrusy hops component, very appreciated, a bit resiny, even a hint of frankincense.
Excellent.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark mahogany / dark brown with a small creamy tan head. Aroma is both hoppy and roasty, in good balance like a CDA should be. Flavour is similarly well-balanced with roasted malt upfront, transitioning to a hoppy finish that includes some very light vegetal notes. Quite woody and roasty, but also quite resinous hoppy. Very nice CDA with minor jagged edges.

Medium brown, chocolate, light minty, cedary hops, and the palate is the same, with a woody hop character, dryness, and sweet cocoa malts that get a little bit burnt in the finish.

Poured from the tap. Very dark brown with tan head. Aroma has very sweet citrusy hops. Lots of orange, a little roast malt. Same flavour, very dry resinous finish.
