Gravity cask at the Land Rover Beer Festival 2016. Poured a crystal clear dark amber with a bubbly round white head. The aroma is resin hops, red berry fruit. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a rich fruity, big malt, light pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Plenty going on here and great to drink a half of, but might lie a little heavy on the stomach over a session.

Cask @ Calans, Hebden Bridge as Salopian Pogo. Dark clear copper with a creamy head. Its strength subdues its tropical fruits to an extent, but there’s still a fine and dominant fruitiness to be found.

5.5% Cask handpull at Craft Covent Garden. Clear dark brown colour lasting creamy beige head. Flavour of malty goodness. Tastes a bit like an American brown. Good malt like smooth brown malt loaf. Some hop dryness on the finish. I really liked it. It’s a kind of tasty brown ale. Couldn’t place the style at all.

Gravity poured cask ale: half-pint at the Bridgnorth Beer Festival on 6th Sep 2014. Mahogany body with a wisp for a head. Hop nose, floral in nature with a fruity taste. I liked it but the vote was split as others around me thought it ’odd’ and unbalanced.
