Sam Adams has just released 4 beer in the brewery’s new Small Batch Series, and aren’t stopping there. Cinder Bock looks to join the crew next year. Cinder is billed as a “rauchbock” or smoke bock.

Pours clear reddish brown color with tan head. Aromas of caramel and toasted malts with a hint of smoke. Sweet caramel flavor with moderate smokiness. Medium body with soft carbonation. Overly sweet and syrupy.

Bottle @ home. A touch hazy, dark red orange appearance with a light brown head. Smoky meaty, rich malty, toasty caramel aroma. Creamy, quite sweet toffee malty, smoked ham flavor. Not excellent but not all that bad either.
