Shipstone’s Original is brewed from a blend of Fuggles and Goldings hops and tastes better than ever. It is dry, clean and has a wonderful malty body with a traditional bitterness.

Bottle from Real Ale Store Newark and drunk at home. Clear amber copper colour thick beige head. After a bit of hard manual labour around the flat, this was very refreshing and exactly what I wanted. A traditional session bitter. Some caramel malt, some light peppery hop on the finish. A bitter that is bitter. Rather good to be honest. Just what I wanted at this time.

Bottle courtesy of dad (cheers dad!) consumed at home, Tuesday 1st April 2014 Copper in colour with white rim with a filmy island across the top. Good tangy and very traditional bitter, but I rather like it, English hops clearly in here but they work well, nice bitterness its a damn good honest down to earth bitter, mine is lightly chilled. Uncomplicated bitter its good stuff. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3
