(bottle) Clear, chestnut brown colour with a beige mid-sized foamy head. Discreetly toasted malty aroma with hints of caramel and nuts, also a whiff of sugar beet. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, rather light bodied with a medium carbonation. Mildly toasted malt character with traces of caramel, slightly leafy notes and delicately herbal hops far in the background; moderately sweet and restrained bitter hoppy finish. Drinkable. 05.VI.16

Bottle 500ml. @ home. [ As Schnitzlbaumer Export-Dunkel ].Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, dark malt, grain, caramel, agner, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, caramel, dark malt, sweet malt, agner, malt, light hay. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160215]

Dunkler, süßlich karamelliger Antrunk. Milde Herbe, auch die Malzigkeit ist eher gering, dafür aber fest und im Verhältnis zu den anderen Aromen passend. Zum Ende röstiger. Unauffälliges aber süffiges Dunkles. 10/10/9/9/9/9

Bottled, from Biershop Bayern. Clear mahogany colour, small head. Caramel and butter up front. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Toffee and butter dominates. Near no bitterness. Mellow, but too caramelly.

Pours dark brown with a smooth white head. Aroma of cardboardy malts, earthy notes, caramel and toffee. Taste is cardboardy, malty and earthy with some bready notes, caramel and toffee. Finish is smooth, malty and bready with hints of cardboard. Meh.

Bottle from the brewery. Orangebraunes Bier mit ordentlicher beiger Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, süß, Karamell. Geschmack röstmalzig süß, Karamell, etwas Schokolade, leicht würzig, etwas viel Kohlensäure.

Bottle: Clear, chestnut-amber coloured, bigger - slowly collapsing - fluffy off-white head, slightly sweet caramelly nutty nose with a very faint hoppy background; moderate - not too - sweet - bitter flavour, soft, light to medium bodied; slightly lingering caramelly-hoppy finish. Average, but nice Dunkel......
