A rich, dark porter brewed with rich roast and caramel flavours from a blend of dark malts. Sometimes called a “Black IPA” or “Cascadian dark” to emphasise the hoppiness that may surprise in such a dark brew. We have turned it on its head and started from the base of a Porter and hopped it up!! Generous amounts of aromatic hops give a big hop taste of citrus and tropical fruit hop flavours to balance the malts.

Cask at the Victoria Station Spoons - London. Pours clear, red-brown with a slight, tan foam head. The aroma has a hefty dose of burnt pine to go with the roasted malts. Light sweet flavor with lots of bitter, burnt pine, well roasted malts, some coffee, minerals. Light to medium bodied with soft to fine carbonation. Dry minerality on the finish, bittersweet cocoa, roasted malts, bitter pine, faint resins. Good stuff.

Cask handpull at Lord Moon of the Mall Spoons. Very dark brown almost black beer lasting cream head. Some coffee some chocolate. The citra and galaxy do give it a tropical fruit flavour no doubt. Soft finish. Pretty tasty. It’s like slices of citrus fruit dipped in milk chocolate. I liked it.
