An elegant and powerful beer on the palate. Its color and its aromas with notes of caramel are imparted to it by the use of lightly roasted malts. A slight roundness gives it its balance and softness.

Fles gekregen van Roelzie1986, geprobeerd met Benzai. Het is een amberkleurig bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een rare geur. De smaak is moutig, wat koffie en houtig.

330ml bottle from the local Carrefour in Saint Germain, Paris. Pours clear amber, thin off-white head. Nutty caramel aroma. Taste has a deep, moderately sweet caramel amber character, soft malt, fairly straightforward. Ok.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Hazy russet colour lasting thick beige head. Malty flavour. Light hop, some creaminess. Good mouthfeel. OK malty beer. Likeable enough.

Bottle shared by a friend, BB 21 11 18, 15 cl sample. Slight hazy amber color, short frothy head. Aroma of caramel, cookie, slight spicy. Sweet cookie and biscuit, caramel and toffee. Quite good actually and a nice surprise, brought in from a Parisian supermarket.

Keg at the bow bar... Copper.. Thin tan lacing... Soft sweet toffee fruit nose.. Light fruits.. Dry caramel fruits

Keg at Six Degrees North. Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of caramel and biscuit. Taste is fruitier, more caramel. Sweet finish.

Dark amber color, small off-white head. Aroma has caramel, riped berries and earthy hops. Medium-bodied. Caramel, some alcohol, berries and some harsh notes. Vegetably hops. Meh.

Bottle 750ml. w. swing top. [ As Parisis Biere Ambree ]. [ As my rating # 1000 of beers from France on ratebeer ]. Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dusty, nutty, light earthy. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, dusty, caramel, nutty, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20151228]

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, wet hay, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, wet hay, and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry finish.
