B no 53. W Danko on label. Estery and a bit thin. Hot in transport. Exploded and rose. Bad bottling or transport issues.

33cl bottle from Beer52.com. A gushing pour with an opaque peaty body and a great quantity of loose beige head; aroma of coffee and chocolate; rather sweet oatmeal body; with a strong coffee-ground bitterness; and some lingering milk chocolate.

From tap at Craft & Draught. CAP’s oatmeal stout, with lightly lacing, pale greyish beige, cobweb-like, moussy head and blackish robe but actually very dark burgundy and still largely translucent. Aroma of coffee grounds, roasted chicory, ’natural’ iron, celery, soy sauce, caramelized sugar, salsify, toasted bread. Dry flavor, olive-like umami with basic cereal sweetness, bit sourish, soft carbo, slight metallic hint but not disturbing, diluted coffee grounds in the finish with a herbal hop touch. On the thin side but that is to be expected from a 4.7% beer, flavor-wise interesting and enjoyable for sure.

Dark brown color. Lots of oat and roasted malt, but ok. Still a bit boring.

Mørkt brun med lystbrunt skum. Lukter kaffe og lakris. Mild i smak. Noe tørr og kort avslutning.
