Gravity cask at the Clarendon Park Club Winter Beer Festival. Very dark brown and only slightly translucent. Mostly flat with a liitle ringlet of off-white head and a lot of lacing. Chocolate, coffee, forest floor in the aroma. The taste is much more bitter than I'd expected, with a sharp finish borderinf on the astringent. Medium to full body for the ABV. Almost no carbonation in the mouth. A very decent mild.

Pours a dark brown colour with a small frothy beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, tobacco and bitter chocolate. A roasted malt, bitter chocolate flavours, burnt grains and a little smoke. Dry and bitter, I like it!

Cask-conditioned at the Craven Arms, Birmingham, 22/11/2015. Near black with a thin, off-white, head. A toasty mild, with a touch of fruit, some chocolate, and hops in the finish. Very good.

Cask at GBBF 2015. It pours deep brown with a small, bubbly beige head. The nose is toasty, earthy roast, wood, soft berry, spice and damp leaves. The taste is dry, rich roast, earth, twiggy, wood, dirt, caramel, muted smoke and cocoa with a short, dry finish. Light -medium body and low carbonation. Pretty basic in my opinion. A bit dry and twiggy overall. Meh.
