Bottled (BB 02/2008). Dark ruby color, huge creamy beige head, lace. Fruity/berry: mango and redcurrant like aroma. Medium to full bodied. Red currant juice, fruits, long hoppy and alcoholic aftertaste. Woody oak-like notes in the aftertaste. Somehow unbalanced but more enjoyable than Boerinneken.

Bottle at De Garre, Bruges. Reddish brown, some sickly malt. Candy sugar. Not my favourite.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy red/chestnut colour. Small head. Starts off with a rough bitterness. Turns malty and quite sour. Good mouthfeel. Above average carbonation, but small-bubbled.

Clear brown color, short off-white head. Aroma of malt, fruits like apple (i agree), candy sugar. Sweet and malty taste, but not as strong as i expected. I tasted the Boerinneken (female version of Boerken) and it was quite strong in taste. But this Boerken was quite thin actually.

Red-golden; thick yellowish-brown head, big bubbles. Nose with candi-sugar, herbal, touch of alcohol. Bit sourish taste, herbal again. Bitter-citrussy. Quite sweet . Bitter grapes, retronasal milky aroma. Well-bodied. Alcohol remains mostly hidden. Vinous, slightly burning aftertaste. Not bad. Fruitier and more estery than most Proef beers.
