Pours a deep amber colour with beautiful reddish hues. Strong malt aroma, nutty and slightly toasty, spicy hops. More malt on the palate, bready, full bodied but dry. Great lingering bitterness. A Düsseldorf original.

33cl bottle. Malty dry nose. The beer starts very dry but malty with hints of nuts. Nice moderate bitterness, fresh and round. Malty with sweetish hints. The aftertaste is a bit unround, malty dry intense but the bitter-sweetnes-balance is too much on the sweetish side - so a nice try for a Düsseldorf-style Altbier. But not bad at all - it shows the right direction.

Reddish gold beer with a thick off-white head and a hearty, nutty aroma. Flavour is light and crisp, with sweet fruit, nut again and earthy malt. Sweet nutty aftertaste. Not the most distinct beer but rather tasty all the same.

Huge malty beer. Quite meaty. Loads of German sausages over a crisp malt. Excellent use of Bamberg malts. Very clean.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear chestnut brown with a thick off-white head. Large bubbles, carbonation seems a bit high, but it settled down to a nice, tight creamy head in the end.Aromas of cooked fruit, something nutty. Taste is sweet, more nutty flavours and mixed peel. Dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle by Cuso, thanks! Quite thin bodied and dry, balanced flavour-wise. Rather neutral hops flavours, grassy and herbal, light roasty maltiness and light cheesy yeastiness. Overall drinkable and rather good.
