THT June at Kwartje HQ. Black with offwhite head. Sweet roasted chocolate malts. Green coffee, old coffee. Moderate sweet and big bitter. Over medium body and soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at THT July. Almost black with dark beige head. Lots of coffee, but also some old coffee dregs, lots of roast, ash, dry malty notes, dry mineral notes and quite some roasted hazelnuts. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with dry finish.

Can. Dark pour. Aroma of sweet roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Taste of cold coffee, creamy roasted malt, caramel and milk chocolate. Quite nice.

DrFt - Nice coffee and chocolate with a touch of dark roast. Jet brown with a nice beige head. Dark roasty coffee notes and a long chocolate and coffee bitter finish.

Tap @ UBF 2016, small sample. Dark color, medium frothy head. Aroma of big coffee, cookie, koffieleutjes, mocha. Bit sweet in taste, slight dry roasty in finish. A bit thin perhaps, but very tasty.

Sampled from tap at Brouwersfestival Utrecht 2016. Pitch black with a light brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk coffee, milk chocolate, fudge and some cocoa. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of milk coffee, milk chocolate, fudge and some cocoa, followed by a short, slightly bitter finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Good!

Sample from tap @ Utrechts Brouwers Fesitval 2016, with Zlotta, Caesar, Benzai & ShivanDragon. Almost black color. Dense brown head. Aroma’s: mocha, moderate sweet, roasted. Retronasal it’s a bit sweeter, light fruit, mocha. Flavor is light to moderate sweet, light roast. Light bodied. Finishes with roast, slightly dry, moderate bitter.
