Xoloveza is an Imperial Stout inspired by Mexican hot chocolate; we used vanilla, cinnamon, cacao nibs (from Mexican-owned Chocosol Traders!), habanero peppers, and rosita de cacao
this beer was the passion project of one of our Territory Account Managers, Mario, who wanted to brew a beer inspired by his home country of Mexico and pay homage to the Day of the Dead holiday
at the launch event, you can grab decadent chocolate and hot chocolate from Chocosol

16oz @ Ryan's shared with Farees and Phill.
Aroma: chcocolate, peppers, some sweetness.
Taste: along the same lines, noticeably spicy.
Overall: it is very good for the spiced imperial stout, but I am not a fun of this adjunct.

Intensely spicy, roasty and sweetish with loads of cinnamon, warming chili, hints of chocolate sauce, cocoa, vanilla and mole sauce. Pretty hot but tasty.

Dark brown. Thin head. The aroma definitely has cocoa nib notes, and it's fairly fruity. The habanero is a bit weird on the nose. This has a fruity pepper note, with a lot of cocoa nibs, cinnamon. The balance is ok as the habanero flavour is less stout-friendly than other chiles. This is okay, but not my favourite Bellwoods.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some cinnamon and vanilla notes with nice light spicy peppers notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some vanilla notes with some spicy peppers notes, some cocoa and a semi-sweet finale. Body is pretty full with an oily texture and good carbonation with no discernible alcohol notes. Nice Mexican style stout with a great balancer of flavors and very good drinkability.

473mL can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of habanero, vanilla, a touch of cinnamon, and gentle cocoa. Flavour is very chocolatey, with plenty of vanilla, cocoa, some cinnamon, and habanero. The habaneros add a nice subtle spiciness, but more of the pepper, but has plenty of chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon. There's a bit of vegetal character from the habanero, but it's not too detracting. Good stuff.

Poured from 473mL can. Very dark brown with small beige head. Chocolate, cinnamon, feint habanero and vanilla, the rosita de cacao gives it an interesting slightly herbal note. Decent, balanced, could have a touch more body.

473mL can. Pours black with a tan head. Vanilla, cinnamon, and cocoa on the nose. Flavour has cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla, plenty of habanero flavour. Heat from the habanero is well-balanced. Body is on the lighter side, but this is an excellent spiced chocolate imperial stout.

A deep dark stout with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, vanilla, light cinnamon, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, vanilla, light chili pepper, alcohol warmth, very nice.
