On gravity at AFRM Camra BF 2014. Earthy hops. Some caramel. Ok bit of an odd flavour. Ok finishing toffee.

Cask at the Equinox Beer Festival at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Amber with a thin white head; soft in the mouth with chewy malts and well balanced hops adding some spice and hay; then a dry biscuity moreish finish.

Honey-coloured ale. Aroma of pine, paper and earth. Intriguing! The taste is surprising: very, very dry. Bitterness slyly invades the palette and takes over through the finish and aftertaste. Moreish. All in all this is a standard bitter that delivers more than most. A little bow to history and understatement.
