Bottle courtesy of Martinus, thank you! Clear amber color, small white head. Aroma of licorice and caramel. Taste is bitter caramel and licorice candy.

33cl bottle sample @ RBBWG 2013, courtesy of Tinus. Cuivrée, col blanc fin. Arôme est assez agréable (pour le style) avec un côté de sucré brûlé/caramélisé. Palais est assez sec, malté, caramel dans un style très allemand. Pointe de douceur sucrée mais plus vers un rappel au sucre caramélisé. Malt est dans les normes ici, crystal mat, dark et cara avec une fine amertume en fin de bouche. Pas mauvais, mais assez prévisible dans le style.

Thx. to Martinus for this one. 33 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2013. Cute label. Pours a burned sugar amber with a white head. Smell is sweet caramel, burned sugar, caramelized & grains. Taste I sweet caramel, burned sugar, sweet, grain, bit thin, almost thin lager-like, light roast. Far from stellar but it is nice to try something from a country that is anything but associated with craft beer that is something else than a macro pale lager. Cheers, thx. for the country tick.

Sampled from bottle @ RBBWG 2013. Clear dark orange color, small off-white head. Smell and taste are flat. Not much more than malts and a slight bitter touch. It’s not bad though, or at least it’s drinkable.

Bottle in hotel room, Reykjavik. Orangish brown appearance with a small tan head. Skunky caramel malty, grassy, garbage, light toffee aroma. Quite sweet, nutty, caramel/toffee, earthy, straw flavor. Bleh.

33 cl bottle. Pours clear amber with a white head. Malty aroma with caramel and hints of hops and spices. Pretty light with some bitterness and actually hints of alcohol. Slightly dry caramel finish with traces of hoppy bitterness.

Bottle bought in Reykjavik, Iceland in March 2011. Clear brownish with a medium head. Mostly malt on this one, also some light roasted notes. Basic but quite ok.
