330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately and minimally spicy, dark malty and sweet-ish, fruity aroma, notes of dark chocolate, cherry, some milk chocolate, dark toffee, cherry liqueur, vinous and minimally woody overtones. Taste is tart-ish fruity and roasty, chocolately, dark malty with some residual sweetness, notes of cherry, morello, dark chocolate, hints of wood, red wine, a touch of bark, red jelly; well hidden alcohol.
Light body, minimally oily-watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, dense, soft, mildly prickly carbonation.
Quite fruity, seemingly light - very nice.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a small, beige head. Some discreet Bourbon in the nose. Medium body, a sudden cherry tartness, but also fat, ripe meaty cherry notes. A very odd beer where the nose suggests one thing, while the flavor takes you in a completely different direction. And the body doesn't go with what you'd expect from a 12% beer at all. Black colour, almost no head. Aroma is dried cherry in dark chocolate, a bit of cherry juice, almond, cocoa. Light buttnernes, lightly sour. Medium body. Good!
