Cask at The Colmore, Birmingham. Dark brown with a beige head. Roasty, somewhat sweet, hint of chocolate. Slick, easy drinking but just felt a bit thin in flavour.

Cask me ax 4/20/23. Dark. Frothy, beige head, low retention. Chocolate, nuts, fudge. Could be kinda sweet based on the nose. But clean at least. Nutty with tobacco and vanilla. Very soft, slick, under carbonated. Bit of plastic character on the finish.

Handpull cask at Jacob's Well, Bradford. Dark brown and clear with a thick off-white head. Light chocolate aroma, some malt notes. Taste is bittersweet with a light bit of sweetness and some chalky hops dominating in the finish. Full body for the ABV and soft carbonation. Very basic but good stuff all the same.

Cask @ The Colmore, Birmingham. Pours dark ruby, with a well-appointed off white collar that simply refuses to recede. Appealing dark sweetness on the nose. Overall character is reliant on dark treacle with distant smoky glimpses, light body. Pleasant dark mild.

Half-pint, cask ale shared with Finn at Tapped Leeds. Steady beige head, near black in the glass, clingy lacing. Smell of lightly roasted bread, mid-sweet. Malt-driven taste of bread and liquorice notes. Ends malty with a nice roasted touch to it. Good mild. (Leeds 28.01.2020).
