Cask-conditioned at the Golden Ball, York 30/6/2019. Near black in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Plain chocolate, a touch of blueberry sweetness, accompanied by some toastiness and with a gentle finish. An enjoyable mild.

6/6/2019. Cask at the Leeds Beer Festival. Pours dark ruby brown with a small beige head. Aroma of chocolate, liquorice, roasted malt, toffee and dark fruit. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Light to moderate body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Bit disappointed with this.

Half pour (cask) at Pivní. Dark brown with cap of creamy beige head. Rich roasty aroma, chocolate. Taste is more of the slightly sweet roast malts, more chocolate, and a nice creamy feel. Wonderful.

Cask at the York Tap on 7 September 2017. Sepia with thin disappearing pale tan foam and no lacing. Sweetish roasty malt aroma. Fruity in-mouth with roasty malts, and a roasty finish. Zingy zingy mouthfeel and a light body.

Cask @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. Extremely dark brown with a thin head. A fairly stated mild ale with its roasted malts, albeit a little soapy in its taste, but it’s in no way detrimental.
