Tried on tap at the Florida Brew Fest 2011 addition. It pours nice mahogany with garnet edges and mocha head. The aroma is roasted malts to dark roasted malts to dustiness as well as a moderate level of spicy rye like notes and spicy black licorice. The taste is roasty malts, caramel malts and a modest level of dark sweet fruity esteriness. Heading into midway a firm level of rye spiciness joins in and taking this into the finish with dark roasted malts and a sense of chocolate brownie lingering along with fading rye.
