12 oz can, 11/6/24. Last beer of this train ride. Herbal and citrusy. Plenty of malt flavors. Balanced, old school East Coast IPA. Decent. 7/4/6/3/15

Crystal clear golden and light copper coloured body with a thinnish, single to perhaps two centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of crisp grain, light citrus and resin and a dash of pineapple and pine noticeable as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive malted barley notes show at first with a lot of fresh cut grass and hay notes along with some stronger orange and citrus flavours that shows a light bitterness from grain and the hop notes, but ending with a light sweetness and a dash of pepper as well. Aftertaste shows some candy sugar and grassy notes with a light bitterness and some more floral notes than a typical East Coast IPA would show. Overall, a nice and balanced [decidedly] East Coast IPA with a lot of grain and malt notes and not much bitterness, but what is there is stemming from citrus, pine and grasses. Not a bad beer and way more old school, but fairly typical for the style in a good/unassuming way. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 09-June-2020 for US$2,99 sampled at my house here on the Eastern Shore of Virginia in Hacksneck, Virginia on 13-June-2020, one last time.

From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Aroma of pine. Flavors are bitter citrus. Nice tradional West Coast IPA.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear copper gold with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is citrus and pine. Medium body, grapefruit, pine, lingering resin finish, good.

12oz bottle pours a clear dark gold with some sticky, lacing white head. Nose has orange, honey, soap, pine, some candy. Flavor follows, classic IPA and clean, soap, pine, orange, grass, honey. Finishes bitter but dry. A lot of house IPAs out there which don't match up.

Draft at Beltway Brewing. Poured a hazy orange color with a small white head. Aroma was light citrus, light bitter notes. Very malt forward. Earthy notes, sweet malts. Light citrus. Okay.

Light citrus and some pepper. Hazy orange pour with decent head and lacing. Light bitter finish, though mostly clean like using an old mop. Bottle.

Cask (gravity) @ GBBF 2015, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Ardent IPA ].Clear medium orange color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit, butterscotch notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, tropical fruit, butterscotch hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150811]
