This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-dark rugged brown color with a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated pretty quick. Sly messy lacing.
The aroma takes the sweet roasted nuttiness to blend with the caramel and toffee malts. Smooth light milk chocolate. Subtle roasty coffee bean.
The flavor brings about the roasty qualities to glide into the smooth sweet malts. Nuttiness is there and leads into a gentle aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Nicely carbonated. Smooth roasty notes hit my tongue nicely.
Overall, this one was a very nice brown ale that I would have again.

Can pour into shaker pint glass from Manchester Wine and Liquors. Appearance is hazy reddish-brown with effervescent sparkle (like a soft drink), finger-width beige head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is nutty caramel/toffee, hint of chocolate (like chocolate almond ice cream). Taste is light caramel malts, late nuttiness. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and dry, fairly bland finish. Overall, the appearance and aroma had my hopes up but the taste is not as interesting as aroma and palate is pretty weak.

On tap @ Top Hops. This is a near clear mild brown looking one with a tall lasting and quite lacing off-white head. Smells good. It's mainly dark malty, a little nuts perhaps. It has a mild oily texture in the mouth and it's just about average on the carbonation. Much the same going on in the taste. Dark malty, a little sweet chocolate wrapper and mild yeast nutty tail. Lightdrinkable, not very memorable to be honest. 18.06.2015

Poured from a can. Dark ruby brown with yeasty aroma. Medium bodied at best, too thin to be a serious brown ale. Roasted malt flavor with sweet finish. Tolerable but unexciting.
