Soul Shine is a Belgian-style Pale Ale with an American twist. In addition to its 5.2% ABV, Soul Shine is generously hopped with a blend of American hops to give it a distinct aroma of citrus and tropical fruit. This light-bodied beer has a crisp palate and moderate bitterness, with a spicy finish of fruity esters from our Belgian yeast strain.

Bottle. Gold in color with a nice two finger head. Aroma has a spicy, fruity smell to it. Taste is very unique for a Belgian ale. The spiciness is very low, slight fruity taste with a hoppy bitter finish.

Cask at GBBF β15, day 1, 11/08/15. Clear golden topped with moderate off white spotting. Nose is citric peel, melon, straw, earthy, grapefruit. Taste comprises tangerine, melon, mango, hoppy notes, orange pith, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough Belgo influenced IPA ... would have this as an IPA myself, Belgian leaning is pretty subtle.

Cask at GBBF 2015. It pours clear gold with pretty much no head. The nose is soft, apple, pear, melon, candied citrus peel and orangeade. The taste is soft, oily, nectarine, stone fruit, apple, melon, pepper, spice and light umami character. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. OK, if a touch uneventful.
