Una Stubbs went on a Summer Holiday in her first ever big screen performance. This is my first ever Drone Valley beer and Unstone is a soft textured stout, understated but fair, coming across mildly floral, but with a good body, and sweetish taste.

Rocky cream coloured head left a froth on a dark mahogany coloured still body.
Roasted, malt & nutty aroma.
Medium bodied, lively sharp & dry.
Liquorice, nutty, light smoke, piggy & citrus tastes with a tangy hopped finish.
Nice one.

500ml bottle bought at the brewery and drunk at home. Man, this is the gusher. Possibly the gushiest gusher I’ve had, well, ever. I was pleasantly surprised to find there was any beer left. Anyway, it pours mid- to dark brown, only a little translucent and with a massive beige head. Ash, coffee grounds, some Marmite in the aroma. Sweetish taste, ashy coffee, with a slightly sourish bitterness in the finish. Medium body, carbonated on the heavy side. Decent.

On cask at Coach and Horses, Dronfield - Jet black body, solid lacing beige head. Nose is the usual roasty cereal, malts and coffee. The same in the taste, a bit of mocha in the smooth afterglow, superb silky mouthfeel. Nice.
