Bottle at home, 25/02/20. Rich mahogany brown with a well presented lasting khaki cap ... a real looker of a beer. Nose is dried fruit rinds, brown bread, toffee, dusty hops, sprinkle of baking powder. Taste comprises toffee, light cocoa sprinkle, earthy, brown bread, dark malts, hint of muscovado sugar. Medium bodied, soft massaging carbonation splashed with moderate hop bitterness. Top notch example of the style with out going hop heavy.

Bottle from Honest Brew. Murky brown/ruby body with a thick beige head. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of Coca-Cola, mango and chocolate. Flavour of caramel, milk chocolate and melon. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A nice Brown Ale with a tropical fruit edge. It works better than I thought it would.

Keg at the arch 7 kernel tap. A light hazed chestnut brown coloured pour a lasting loose light tan head. Aroma is earthy, chestnut, toast, light pine, grass. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, toasted malts, little liquorice, berries, lingering woody note. Palate is semi sweet light resin, moderate fine carbonation.
