Bottled in 2018, if I am not wrong, bottle coming from bootlegger, Paris. Drinking it yesterday, at the afternoon. Rich and sweet IS, syrupy, roasty, vanilla, rhum, chocolate, bitter, subtle and so rich in aromas, perfect during this busy time. 21.12.24

On tap at La Fine Mousse, pours a fairly clear burgundy / dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is beautifully complex, with lots of caramel, dark fruits and the perfect contribution from the rum barrels - man, that smells divine. Flavour is complex and rich as hell, with intensely rich caramel, dark red fruits, some stone fruits, and an elegant rum character. Somehow it's not harsh or boozy in any way; though it is sweet (not cloying) and intense, making this a very slow sipper. Beautiful barley wine.

Tap at La Fine Mousse, 19th December 18. Pours a cloudy light brown. Aroma is rum, caramel and barrel. Taste is liquor, wood, rum, caramel and barrel. A little rough around the edges, but good.
