Freshly zested Amalfi lemons form the base of this decadent dessert beer. Bright lemon acidity contrasts with a vanilla marshmallow meringue sweetness. Toasted green cardamom adds its own unique floral notes and hints of orange and spice.

Keg at Salthorse, Edinburgh, 24/02/23. Clear golden blonde topped with an off white covering. Nose is lemon zest, grains, straw, lemon sherbet, sugary aspect. Taste comprises grass, meringue whip, lemon zest, light acidic spike. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a subdued puckering bite. It's okay but would like more acidity to cut through some of the sweetness.

Can. Just a very light haze on this gold beer, small off white head. The nose is a lovely rich ripe floral lemon. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. The taste follows the nose with a near candy lemon, lemon sherbet and a touch of lemoncello. Yes, plenty of Lemon Meringue thanks to some generous vanilla. Light finish. Lovely lemon beer, delightful. Plenty of lowish ratings for this one, but if you like lemon meringue this is spot feckin on and as a Brucey bonus, the 6.8% is nigh on invisible. C'mon peeps, beer is supposed to be fun ain't it?

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours lightly hazy golden - blonde with a small, frothy white head. The aroma is sweet, tangy lemon sherbet (boiled sweets), limoncello, lemon cheesecake, candied peel, touch of vanilla and icing sugar. The taste is sweet - sour, more sweet than expected, candy, juicy, tangy, sweet lemon sherbets, old fashioned lemonade, vanilla, meringue, lemon cheesecake and lemon cordial with a short, dry finish. Average body and fine carbonation. Interesting combo, but it needs more acidity/tartness to stop it from being too sweet. A rare miss from these guys imo.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - bright and golden with a very light haze. Creamy, snow white head. Nose - lemon cheesecake, lemon zest and generally creamy. Taste - lemon pie, icing sugar and zest. Palate - light to medium bodied, creamy middle and zesty finish. Overall - great stuff. Enjoyed this much more than I enjoyed the idea of it.
