Cask at the Wellington; clear mahogany red pour with a bubbly light tan head, big coffee aroma, taste is sweet with instant coffee, dark fruits, some plain chocolate, roast malts and liquorice, creamy mouthfeel, bitter finish.

Cask at the Kidbrooke Beer Festival, 2014. Black pour with a beige head. Dark roast coffee aroma with hints of dark chocolate and brown sugar. Flavours of coffee, smoked wood, licorice and dark chocolate. Dry, vinous finish. Tasty stuff.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. KEGS. Cask. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Smooth dark malts with light roast and roast bitterness Whispers of dark chocolate and coffee. Smooth dry finish with light piney hops. Not bad.
