High Nose - African Pale Ale

Draft @ Taproom, Malmö. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty citrus hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty citrus hoppy finish.

Bottle from Olsvammel, many thanks! Trübes goldenes Bier mit einer großen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch grasig hopfig, leicht fruchtig, malzig. Geschmack hopfig fruchtig, trocken, grasig, mild, ganz in Ordnung!

Flaska från SB. Frisk fin humleprofil som är snarlik mycket annat men ändå lite annorlunda. Fin fruktighet med anansa, passionsfrukt, citrus, tall men också lite ingfära, fläder och tung blomdoft. Riktigt trevlig humle profil och en helt okej lätt maltbas. Rena fina smaker. Gott.

Draught @ Tullen 2a Lång. Pours hazy brown with a rather small frothy and creamy brownish beige head that leaves some thick lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly malty and slightly fruity with buttered dark bread, caramel, grapefruit, mango, moist grass, pine needles, moist soil, orange peal and lemon zest. Taste is bitter, tiny malty and slightly fruity with dark bread, caramel, biscuits, grapefruit, unripe tropical fruits, moist grass, pine needles, moist soil, orange peal, lemon peal and hints of butter. Mouthfeel is tiny round, slightly astringent and medium bodied. Finish is bitter with dark bread, grapefruit, moist grass, pine needles, moist soil, orange peal and lemon peal. Had my hops up for this one being the first Highnose branded beer I’ve tried since the man behind previous beers left but this is too dark on the malts, too bitter and slightly buttery. Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear golden, rich firm head. Generous aroma of citrus and elderflower. Dry with light body and clean mouthfeel. Citrus, pine and fynbos (which I am probably imagining...) . Resiny bitter finish. Interesting hops, ordinary malt profile.

33 cl bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is teaish and herbal. Grapefruity. Solid fruity, grapefruity and peachy. Bitter and fruity finish.

330ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Passion fruit, grapefruit, floral hops and some slightly biscuity notes in the aroma. Tangy, zesty, hoppy and fruity taste with notes of mango, pineapple, grapefruit, peach and a hint of spice. Very enjoyable and refreshing.
