Our very own mild, of which we are justifiably proud. Dark and creamy with a sensual chocolate perfume and a beautifully smooth rich taste. A mild worthy of praise.

Cask at the Dispensary, Liverpool. Dark ruby brown and only slightly translucent. Generous tan head. Liquorice, hazelnuts, black pepper on the aroma. Taste is sweet and nutty with peppery spice and blackberry rounding to the long creamy finish. An absolutely perfect mild, possibly the best example of the style I've had the privilege to drink.

Cask @ GBBF14. Smooth mild beer. Malty ale character, not too deep. Fresh and easy to drink. The aftertaste us a bit sweeter, not too intense. Nice.

Cask at GBBF 2014. It pours clear deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, toast, wood, leather, pepper and damp leaves. The taste is toasty, leather, wood, dust, drying, twig and some acidity with a very dry finish. Light body and soft carbonation. Pretty basic & twiggy...

Cask-conditioned at the Merseyside beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol February 2013. Dark brown with a decent, off-white head. Very easy drinking, with plenty of berry fruits, a touch of toasted malts and gentle finish. My favourite beer of the festival.
