Savujussi on kuin hämäläisnuorukaisen tervehdys; rehti ja savusaunan lauteilta puhtinsa saanut. Jussi on suodattamaton, maltilla humaloitu ja sopivan savuinen ale.

Bottle [from trade with Rosenbergh] @ home. Clear rusty orange color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly smoke, some fruitpeel and a slight hint of sweetish hops. I don’t know where all these very low scores come from. To me it tastes fine, although it’s not my favourite style at all but it’s certainly not bad.

Bottled at Post-PBF, Vaasa. Hazy amber, rich head. Buttery nose with mild lemon and smoke. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Mild birchwood smoke, some grass and ash. The slight touch of lemon disturbs, otherwise it is quite nice.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at laiti’s, 20150613, thanks) The beer poured murky light brown and hazy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had boiled vegetables and smoke. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, mildly smoke, unfermented malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had vegtables and smoke. A badly done smoked.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 12/2015. Thanks Markku!
Aroma is watery with wet paper, cardboard and lime. Also starchy notes and hints of toffee candy. Flavour has worty tones, cardboard and mild & sweet malty notes. Mild and watery all the way, just like all the other beers from Pihamaa.
