Night vinous Aroma, loads of grapes and dark fruit. But also some light hints of mint, fresh cut apple skins and some bready, yeasty malts. Mouth feel is nice and carb is soft. Finish is nice and tart, but I wouldn’t call it sour. Some great fruit notes with the brown sugar malts. Quite nice, the fruity notes go well with the vinous grape, and lactic tart notes.

(2016 - 8.7%) Cherry, oak, caramel malt, vinegar, and hay aroma. Dark brown with minimal head. Mildly sweet cherry, caramel malt, moderately sour vinegar/citric acid, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Very nice.

2016 bottle, drinking in 2022. Poured a cloudy brown, smallish head but still carbonated. Nose is heavily caramelized, with a touch of vague funk. Grape juice and/or wine elements are also apparent in the nose. Tart right off but not killer acidic, just a hint at acetic acid. Spice cake style sweet malt. Bright and lively, with a good sweet and sour balance. I get less wine in the flavor but thats OK by me. Balanced at finish, maybe semi-sweet but its still carried through by the tight tartness. This is pretty good!

2016 bottle, four years old. Initially a large but quickly fading head. This is sweet, and moderately sour. Malt is prominent. Not as sour and acidic as many of this style can be.
