A Norman-style cidre brut, aged in French oak barrels. Reminiscent of the old days in France, before the great wars, when wine makers of the south shared their used barrels with their northern cousins, the resulting ciders were a little bit rough, unfiltered with a balance of flavors from the fruit, the farm and the barrel. Virtue has recreated this traditional cider by sourcing tart fruit, patiently aging for months in wine barrels, and serving as is, without fine filtration. Lapinette is a window into our past, a very tasty time indeed.

Draught @ CBC 2015. Pours clear pale yellow, no head. Aroma of green apples, wood, little sulphur. Flavor is little weak, green apples, little tart. Thin to medium body, lively carbonation. 020515

CBC. Pale yellow with no head. Aroma is apple, fruit, oak with notes of sulfur. Flavour is apple, oak, little thin, medium sweet, little dry and a little acid.

Keg at the 4th Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Session I, 01/05/2015. Pale yellow with no head. Nose is pear drop, wood, apple, straw. Taste is apple orchard, berry fruit notes, straw, wood. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, smei drying close. Ok cider.

Draught@CBC2015. Hazy yellow colour no head. Aroma is quite white wine like with some mild apples as well. Flavour is wooden, quite white wine like along with mild apples and some mild tones of vinegar.

Tap@CBC 2015, Yellow Session - pale gold pour. Mix of sour and sweet apple, some nice acidic barnyard apple notes, dry finish.

[5/1/15] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015. 1st session. Very pale color. Nice aroma, oak, apples, a bit of funk. Sourish flavor, oaky, apples. Nice and refreshing.

From tap. Pours pale yellow, no head. Aroma is dryand zesty apples. Tart, dry and citric. Mellow fruity and lingering citric dry apples. Dry finish.

Tap @CBC15. Clear light straw, a few bubbles. Soft, spicy apple aroma. Flavour is similar, quite watery. Dry and slightly citric finish.
