Draught @ Brewpub Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of smoked malts, leather, ham, hay and grassy hops. Taste is smooth with notes of smoked malts, leather and hay. Finish is smooth and malty with some leather and hay. Quite smooth and balanced.

Tap@syystober ’14. Copper color, nice lacing white head. Smoky nose, not that intense, malty, some ham. Flavor has smoke, malt, house flavor. Again, quite mellow, but the smokey notes is reminiscent of Schlenkerla. Long smokey finish. Solid.

Tap at Syystoober 2014, Helsinki. Colour is slightly cloudy orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Smoke, some tar and roasted malts. Light but enjoyable.

(Keg at Syystober’14) The beer poured amber and almost clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had smoke, tar and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, smoke, caramel, tar, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was smoky, grassy and bitter. A nice and balanced brew.

Aroma has smoked ham, some grainy malt and hints of licorice. Feels a bit sweet. Flavour is somewhat smoky with ham, licorice and distant peaty tones. Also toffee after some sips. Finishes with mellow hops. Reminds me of schlenkerla beers. Well balanced, clean and tasty. Starts to feel a bit mellow towards the end of the glass though.
