To celebrate our 100th batch of beer, we departed from our traditional brewing methods and simply filled our mash tun with a much grain as it would hold. The result was this: a rich and roasty stout with layers of dark chocoalte and a think creamy head, in that same playful spirit, we continue to brew our batch 100 today.

Bottled. Black colour, mediumsized creamy off-white head. Aroma is roasted, some liquorice, mild toffee, alcohol and some dried fruity tones. Flavour is quite much the same elements as the aroma, but also has some chocolate, mild bitterness as well as some wooden tones to it.

(Tap) clear, bright, very dark brown colour with a small beige head; aroma of milk chocolate, roast, then smoke; balanced flavour, sadly simple, with a sligh bittersweet finish

Bottle shared during the Cad’s 10th anniversary bash - Clerkenwell, London. One from me! Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds some dusty milk chocolate. Medium sweet flavor, chalky, with dry and bitter baking cocoa. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Dry and bitter on the finish. Lots of dry, ashy baking cocoa character. OK.
