Draught @ [ SOPP 2015 ] @ Railway Square / Rautatientori, Helsinki, Finland . [ As Hopping Brewsters Black Flight A/Black Roger ].Clear dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, earthy, wood, smoke, light roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, wood, smoke, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150722]

Draught@SOPP2015 Helsinki. Murky ambery brown colour, small off-white head. aroma is mild toasted notes, caramel, malts, a bit cooked vegetables as well as some mild catpissy (hoppy) notes. Flavour is roasted, some floral and grassy hops along with mild resiny and some strange bitterness.

Brown-amber color, small beige head. Toasted, a bit vegetably aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramel, grass, malts and some harshness and veggie notes. This beer has some hidden potential but is a bit unbalanced.

(Keg at SOPP Helsinki 2015) The beer poured deep dark brown. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, chocolate, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A tasty but burnt brew.

Aroma has ash, coffee and licorice. Also sweet chocolate tones. Flavour has coffee, some licorice, ash, tobacco and some floury tones. Oaty notes appear at the middle of the glass. Also very slight feeling of contamination in the background, which occurs in the finish as gooseberry bush leaves and grows a bit stronger towards the end of the glass. Otherwise, decent and a very dry stout.
