On tap at House of Funk, pours a hazy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is quite earthy, with Belgian yeast, light spices, earthiness, but little barrel presence. Flavour is more barrel-forward, with plenty of bourbon, lots of spices—especially cinnamon, followed by orange peel, Belgian yeast, and earthiness. It's rather bitter for the style. Pleasant array of flavours but could use some work on the cohesiveness. Solid.
