Sunday 13th Nov 2016. 568ml (UK pint) can from a random ’Booze Shop’ in Oakengates Shropshire and drank with a curry across the road. Basic lager/pilsner: light golden, clean and clear, unlasting white head. Slight leanings towards grains and a semi-sweetness, some hops for a mini-bitter finish to each gulp. OK with a curry.

BOTTLE 568 ML. Clear golden, white sparkling head. Smells like dusty grains. Sterile taste of a true industrial lager - pale malt sweetness, CO2 acidity and slight astringency, lack of hops. Mediocre.

Bottle from Continental Food Store, Wakefield. Golden-yellow with next to no head. Ordinary lager, although crisp enough. Has more character in its nose than taste.

UKIP friendly one pint bottle from an Eastern European grocers in Bedminster, Bristol. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head and touch of fizziness. Light, slightly sweet aroma of corn and a hint of honey, with a touch of grassy hop. Flavour was similar, with some grassy notes and ripe corn, before a moderately bitter finish. Good.
