Right from the olfaction, its strong point is represented by an extraordinary bouquet, varied and in the pursuit of freshness with notes of citrus, exotic fruit, herbaceous, peppery and spicy with the addition of a balsamic touch reminiscent of the Mediterranean scrub.
By palate it delivers on its promises with the fruity that contrasts well the impressive aftertaste, decidedly bitter-tasting but dry and with great finesse and balance. Eclectic and socializing beer, to share with friends but capable of making a good impression also at the table. Thanks to its qualities of freshness, I would see well with spicy and moderately spicy dishes of Indian and Thai cuisine, but also with Sardinian seafood, prepared with sauces made with lemon and saffron.

375ml bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours orange gold, hazy, with medium grained white foam, irregular. Aroma has quite a yeasty and spicy feeling, orange. Body is average, with good carbonation. Taste is well balanced between some sweetness, decent bitterness, a hint of acidic. Final is citrus and quite enjoyable.

Bottle shared at chriso’s Post-GBBF 2014 Tasting - London. Pours unclear yellow with a foamy, white head. Light lemon notes in the aroma, mild yeast, dry wheat. Light sweet flavor with nice dried wheat sugars, a bit of saison yeast expression, some bittering lemon rind. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean, lightly dry on the finish with dry dough and further lemony accents. Solid.

Bottle from GBBF 2014 and drunk at home. Hazy pale gold lasting thick white head. Decent saison touch of soap but it’s fairly light and solid. Light saison yeast aroma, some lemon some hop. I rather like it. Enormously drinkable and good depth of flavour. Simple but done very well. Good peppery hop. Straight up very good saison. Not over the top, but as I said very solid. Yes not too exciting but absolutely fine and down the line saison.
