[May 2022] Near black with a frothy tan head and big chocolate notes on the nose. Roasted malt and hints of coffee and chocolate in the flavour with a slightly dry and bitter finish

Hand-pulled half-pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 20th July 2022. Thin tanned covering on a black body. Malty, chocolatey and dry.

Cask at the VAT and Fiddle, Nottingham. Poured a clear almost black colour with an everlasting frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, earthy, nutty, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

half pint on cask at the Hallcross medium creamy beige head. Clear almost black pour. lots of chocolate.

9/2/2019. Cask at the 37th Fleetwood Beer & Cider Festival. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, toffee and a hint of coconut. Medium plus sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, soft to flat carbonation. Roasted finish. Needed more body, otherwise good.

Cask @ Fleetwood Beer & Cider Festival. Nice head with good duration. Color is black.aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, caramel nd malt. Sweet finish.
